Hobbies and Interests
In addition to diving, I have other interests that occasionally distract me.
- Bicycling — I'm not a long distance biker, but I'm usually good
for 20-30 miles. I usually do the Richfield Corn Challenge and STOMP bike events
in Cleveland every year.
- Backpacking — It's not something I do a lot, but in the past I've hiked most of the Appalachian Trail (A.T.) from Springer Mountain, GA, up through the southern part of Virginia. I've also done trips to the George Washington and Jefferson National Forests.
- Canoeing — I especially like whitewater and have done sections of the Shenandoah, Nantahala, Hiwassee, and Mohican Rivers. I have also done the Okefenokee and Everglades Swamps on overnight / multi-day trips.
- Airplanes, Helicopters, and Spacecraft — I have a strong interest in aerospace and aviation history.
